Ultimate Girls Weekend at Foxwoods

Last weekend, my girlfriends and I had the pleasure of visiting one of the top premier entertainment destinations in the Northeast – Foxwoods Resort Casino. Growing up in Boston, Foxwoods is just an hour and half drive away and has always been one of my favorite places to escape when I want a guaranteed goOod time with family and friends. Not only is Foxwoods the largest resort casino in North America, but it’s also home to AAA Four-Diamond hotels, including the luxurious Fox Tower – which is my favorite hotel on the property! This is the place you want to stay at ladies because entertainment is right at your doorstep – literally! Shrine nightclub, which hosts the hottest deejays, the amazing G spa and Foxwoods Liquid Sunday, the sexiest pool party, are all just minutes away. I was meeting my bestie for her bachelorette party at Foxwoods and I also brought along my sisters and girlfriend for a fun filled girls weekend. We got the connecting double rooms which made for the ultimate slumber party. Getting dressed was a breeze since anything I needed – I just “borrowed”from my roomies next door. 🙂

Even though we were so close to all the gaming and nightlife action, getting some rest was not a problem. I hate staying at hotels where the nightlife is so loud that you can’t catch a good night’s sleep. However, we didn’t have that problem here and definitely caught up on our beauty sleep and indulged in everything from gourmet pastries at Cake by Franck and even scoring some major sweet deals on our shopping sprees at the Tanger Outlets at Foxwoods.

It was Father’s Day weekend so I found some great gifts for my dad at Brooks Brothers and I love the premium stores like Armani Exchange, Michael Kors and of course, our favorites like Forever21 and H&M. Thankfully the shops were nearby because we needed some cute pool party outfits for Foxwoods sexy hotspot – Liquid Sundays. I highly recommend the pool daybed or cabana for your group of girlfriends. You get your own charming bottle girl and you get close to all the action like their crazy champagne showers or you might even get close to Australia’s hottest act, Thunder from Down Under, like we did! Make sure you check their event itinerary because the top celebs are always hanging out poolside.

Foxwoods entertainment schedule always has the most unique lineup from comedy and Cirque shows to acts like Nelly and Thunder from Down Under that weekend. We caught the Thunder from Down Under show at the Fox Theater and let me tell you ladies – there was not a bad seat in the house! To start off the night – I definitely recommend the seafood and steak at Cedars restaurant and the express Noodle Bar for after you’re done dancing the night away at Shrine. Don’t forget to test your luck at their many gaming rooms or score like we did at the slot machines!

My girlfriends and I had the best time shopping, gaming, partying and living it up poolside. Sometimes you just need a break from the everyday grind by celebrating with your favorite people during the Summer of Dreams at the Fox Tower. Thank you Foxwoods for letting us experience the Wonder of it All and giving us one of the most memorable weekends ever!
